<p>Disclosed are a power control device for an air conditioning system and a method thereof. The power control device for an air conditioning system comprises: an indoor unit control part, an initial power part for an outdoor unit, and an outdoor unit control part. The indoor unit control part outputs a first signal and a second signal for receiving an alternating current power source and controlling a power source through a communication line. When the first signal is inputted through the communication line, the initial power part for an outdoor unit operates to output direct current voltage to the outdoor unit control part. When the first signal and the direct current voltage are inputted in a power down state, the outdoor unit control part opens the communication with the indoor unit control part, converting to an initial operation and a power supply state, and then stops the operation of the initial power part. When the second signal is inputted in a power supply state, the outdoor unit control part is converted to the power down state and loses the communication with the indoor unit control part, Thus, the present invention can have a lower standby power than 1 W, can maximize a power saving effect, and can have a more efficient circuit structure for costs, weight, circuit area, and wiring.</p> |
