An apparatus, system, and method are described for isolating frames in a video stream. A first picture start code may be obtained from a video data stream. Data from the video stream may be accepted after obtaining the first picture frame start code until obtaining a second picture start code. I--picture data of the accepted data may be output. In some embodiments, a frame isolator may be used to obtain the first picture start code from the video data stream, accept the data from the video stream and/or output the I-picture data.
