<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method that can form a masking material for coating and protecting a masking area determined on a member easily and at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a masking material 10 for coating and protecting a masking area determined on a member includes a first step of using a simplified mold that roughly reproduces a shape of the masking area, and duplicating a hollow duplication mold from the simplified mold by vacuum and/or air-pressure molding using a thermoplastic resin sheet; a second step of applying a liquid elastomer on one surface or both surfaces of the duplication mold and drying the surface(es); and a third step of obtaining the masking material 10 made of the elastomer by peeling the elastomer from the duplication mold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
