<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a defoaming operation of a gel efficiently, in a method for replenishing a viscous material to a material tank in a gel injection system for performing air vent of the gel in the material tank using a suction mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a lid body 34 freely attachable to upper openings of replenishment containers 31 and 32; a suction tube 36 inserted and held through the lid body 34 and having one end reaching the viscous materials A and B in the replenishment containers 31 and 32 and the other end connected to the material tank; and the suction mechanism for decompressing the inside of the material tank.
