<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle guidance system in which a vehicle is guided safely even if a general vehicle approaches a gateway for ETC vehicles or an ETC system is not operated normally for an ETC vehicle, and further to provide a safe vehicle guidance system utilizing the ETC system.SOLUTION: A vehicle guidance system comprises a crossing gate 1, a first vehicle detection device 2a, a gate-front antenna 3, a second vehicle detection device 2b, guidance means 4, a third vehicle detection device 2c, a fourth vehicle detection device 2d and an ETC gate 5. When the first vehicle detection device detects approach of a vehicle, the crossing gate is closed to keep a fixed interval from a following vehicle. When the second vehicle detection device detects an approaching vehicle, it is confirmed that the vehicle has passed the gate-front antenna and it is determined whether communication can be established or not at this timing. When the third or fourth vehicle detection device detects an approaching vehicle, the crossing gate is opened for the following vehicle.</p> |
