PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device which can be reduced in size while achieving the redundancy of a power supply system.SOLUTION: The electric brake device comprises: an electric motor 2; a brake member; a linear motion mechanism 4 which converts the rotational motion of the electric motor 2 into the motion of the brake member; and a control device 9 which controls the electric motor 2. There are arranged an exclusive backup power supply device 32 having a power accumulation capacity which can drive the electric motor 2, and a power generation device 33 which converts a part of motion energy at the traveling of a vehicle into electrical energy, and charges it to the backup power supply device 32. When the power of a main power supply device 31 which constantly supplies power to the electric motor 2 does not reach a set reference, the control device 9 drives the electric motor 2 by using the backup power supply device 32. |
