A method and apparatus for controlling local wireless connection for point-to-point media streaming according to various embodiments of the present invention are capable of: measuring the quality of link between electronic devices by operation mode between the electronic devices under media streaming; collecting measured values of at least one operation mode candidate; and changing the operation mode of the electronic devices based on the collected measured values, when the quality of the link is changed. Various other embodiments can be also implemented.
