<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element in which growth of grains can be suppressed by lowering the sinterability of an end region, and the sinterability of the whole piezoelectric element can be balanced, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 100 using a PZT-based piezoelectric ceramics and an electrode material containing Ag includes internal electrodes 102a, 102b to which a voltage is applied, and a piezoelectric ceramics layer 101 laminated alternately with the internal electrodes 102a and 102b . Out of the piezoelectric ceramics layer 101, an end region 101b close to the internal electrodes relative to a center region 101a is formed of a composition having a small A site/B site ratio. As a result, the dielectric breakdown voltage of the piezoelectric element can be lowered, and the durability can be enhanced by enhancing mechanical strength of the piezoelectric element.</p> |
