A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a communications unit making communications with an external terminal; and a control unit, if receiving washing operation information based on weather information from a terminal, controlling the operation based on the received washing operation information. A terminal according to the present invention comprises: a communications unit; a control unit, if receiving washing history information from the washing machine, analyzing a washing pattern, recommending a washing course based on the analyzed washing pattern, receiving the weather information to determine whether the washing is possible or not and washable date/time, and controlling transmission of the determined washability and washable date/time; and a display unit displaying the recommended washing course, the washability and the washable date/time. The present invention transmits the washing history information to the terminal and transmits the washing operation control signal to the washing machine in a manner of enabling a user to make the terminal approach the washing machine, for example using an NFC tagging method, simply without a complex user′s authentication and subscription process even if not setting up a network between the terminal and the washing machine, thereby being capable of using the washing machine intuitively (an operation of making a mobile phone approach the washing machine). |
