A sorting arrangement for delivery of sheet recording material contains several parallel delivery containers (16) and a transport unit (32) movable by motor drive along the container e entry side between a receiving position and the containers. The number and relative positioning of the containers are freely selectable and the transport unit is positioned in each delivery position by a sensing unit working in conjunction with the containers. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for distributing printer paper from office printer to various containers. More flexible operation.
