<p>[Object] To provide a tongue that allows a seat belt to smoothly slide thereon at normal times and that is capable of preventing stretch of a lap belt in the event of emergency. [Solution] The seat belt sliding unit 17 includes a predetermined number of the protrusions 25a, 25b, 25c, and 25d disposed in the first and second concave portions 19 and 20. The first protrusion 25a has a flat or substantially flat end surface 25a 1 on the shoulder belt side, a flat or substantially flat end surface 25a 2 on the lap belt side, and an arc-like top end 25a 3 . An angle ¸ 1 formed by the imaginary line 27 between the topmost end of the protrusion 25a and an arc center 26 of an outer peripheral surface 21 of the concave portions 19 and 20 and the end surface 25a 1 on the shoulder belt side is less than an angle ¸ 2 formed by the imaginary line 27 and the end surface 25a 2 on the lap belt side.
