PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid discharge head in which energy generating elements can be made to easily match with a position at which a liquid chamber is formed in a liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a liquid discharge head, which has a substrate, a heat resistor formed on a front face side of the substrate and a nozzle layer that has a liquid chamber and a liquid discharge port formed on the front face side of the substrate, performs the steps of: preparing the substrate having the heating resistor and a nozzle-layer forming material layer provided on the front face side the substrate; driving and heating the heating resistor so as to form, in the nozzle-layer forming material layer, air bubbles serving as the liquid chamber; and forming, in the nozzle-layer forming material layer, the liquid discharge port to be communicated with the liquid chamber and forming, on the front face side of the substrate, the nozzle layer forming the liquid chamber and the liquid discharge port. |
