摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion layer formed by applying a water repellent layer capable of obtaining high water repellency, gas permeability and diffusion property to a conductive porous substrate for a fuel cell, and to provide a solid polymer fuel cell using the gas diffusion layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas diffusion layer for the solid polymer fuel cell obtained by forming a water repellent layer on the conductive porous substrate, (1) the water repellent layer contains at least conductive carbon particles, fluororesin, and conductive carbon fibers, (2) 15-40 mass% of conductive carbon fibers are contained to the total content of the conductive carbon particles and the conductive carbon fibers, and (3) the slip angle between the water repellent layer and water is 1-75&deg;. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
