PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of favorably applying an optical line including an OLT (optical line terminal) to an optical broadcast system.SOLUTION: A communication system includes: an OLT 4 for outputting a first downlink optical signal included in a first wavelength band; an RFoG (Radio Frequency over Glass) downlink TX 16 for converting a downlink electric signal including a broadcast signal into a second downlink optical signal with a second wavelength band not to be superimposed on the first wavelength band; an optical amplifier 18 for amplifying the second downlink optical signal; an optical filter 20 for transmitting a second optical signal output from the optical amplifier 18 and attenuating the first wavelength band; and a WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical multiplexing/branching device 24 for multiplexing the first downlink optical signal and an optical signal to be output from the optical filter 20. |
