PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device which can position a dam member simply and with a good accuracy and suppress variation of a coating width.SOLUTION: In a coating device 1, a notch 21 is formed in a radial direction of a comma roll 5. Consequently, a dam member 11 can be positioned simply and accurately by only fitting the dam member 11 into the notch 21 and engaging a tip 11a of the dam member 11 with an engagement part 21a of the notch 21. Further, in the coating device 1, a position of the engagement part 21a, which is engaged with the tip 11a of the dam member 11, is on a front side of a discharge port K in a supply direction, and therefore, an excessive projection of the tip 11a of the dam member 11 can be avoided. Thus, elongation and deformation of the tip side of the dam member 11, which occur in association with rotation of a coating roll 3, can be suppressed, whereby variation of a coating width W of an electrode paste P onto a metal foil 6 can be suppressed. |
