According to an embodiment of the present invention, a portable electronic device comprises: a storage unit; a storage control unit; and a decoding control unit. The storage unit has: a first area to store the first corresponding information indicating the first identification information for identifying data and the first decoding information related to decoding in response to the first identification information; and a second area to store the second corresponding information indicating the second identification information for identifying data and the second decoding information related to decoding in response to the second identification information. The storage control unit stores the second corresponding information in the second area. The decoding control unit, when identification information for identifying data included in a command received from the outside is included in the second corresponding information stored in the second area, controls decoding of the data included in the command, based on the second decoding information corresponding to the second identification information. |
