1. A method for authenticating a user of a transit system based on interactions with the transit system, the method comprising:
creating a user account associated with a user of a transit system; receiving a display identifier associated with a payment account of the user, wherein the display identifier is visible on a payment media associated with the payment account; requesting a first ridership challenge answer; receiving the first ridership challenge answer; requesting a second ridership challenge answer based at least in part on the received first ridership challenge answer; receiving the second ridership challenge answer, wherein the first ridership challenge answer and the second ridership challenge answer are related to interactions of the user within the transit system; identifying, based at least on the first ridership challenge answer and the second ridership challenge answer, a transaction identifier as being associated with the payment account; linking the display identifier with the transaction identifier, wherein the display identifier and the transaction identifier are at least partially distinct from one another; and associating both the display identifier and the transaction identifier with the user account. |
