PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which black tightness is excellent and rainbow color diffraction patterns are reduced.SOLUTION: An image display device includes an image display part, and a light transmissive protection part arranged on the image display part. On the surface of the image display part is arranged an optical film having an uneven shape on the surface thereof. The image display device has a packed layer made of a material formed by hardening an adhesive agent, a binder or a curable resin composition in the gap between the optical film and the protection part. The adjacent surface between the optical film and the packed layer is an interface having refractive index difference &Dgr;n of 0.01 to 0.2, and the standard deviation &sgr; of in-plane distribution of optical lengths between the image display part and the protection part is 40nm or more. |
