<p>PURPOSE:To prevent fine foreign matter from being stuck to the image carrier of an image forming part by arranging a foreign matter removing device on the upstream carrying path (carrying belt) of a first image forming part disposed on the most upstream side, out of each image forming part. CONSTITUTION:The foreign matter removing device 26 removing the fine foreign matter stuck to the recording surface of a recording material S fed by paper feeding cassettes 11, 12, is arranged on the upstream carrying path (carrying belt 9) of the first image forming part PA located in the most upstream side, out of the image forming parts PA-PD. Due to this, the fine foreign matter 37 stuck on the recording surface 31 is removed by the foreign matter removing device 26, before the recording material D fed from the paper feeding cassettes 11, 12 reaches the first image forming part PA arranged on the most upstream side. Therefore, the fine foreign matter 37 can be prevented from being stuck on the fine foreign matter can be prevented from being stuck on the photosensitive bodies 2A-2D of respective image forming parts PA-PD.</p> |
