The present invention concerns a process for the preparation of a compound of formula;
in the form of any one of its stereoisomers or mixtures thereof, wherein R represents a C1-C7 alkyl or alkenyl group, a C7-C10 benzyl group optionally substituted by one to three C1-3 alkyl or alkoxy groups, a C1-C7 acyl group or an alkoxycarbonyl of formula C(═O)OR′, wherein R′ is a C1-C7 alkyl group.
