<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems with conventional contaminant capturing mats; materials containing a large amount of charcoal are used to capture the contaminants in the leachate of a refuse disposal plant and to capture the contaminants already leached into the environment; such charcoal is generally made by baking timber, but if such charcoal is used, the contaminants are captured, but on the other hand, such trouble as the useless consumption of forest resources or environmental disruption occurs. SOLUTION: This contaminant capturing mat has plural bag-like parts, contaminant capturing materials packed into these bag-like parts and unifying means which unify the plural bag-like parts to one unit. The contaminant capturing materials are mainly composed of the charcoal formed by baking carbonaceous wastes. The carbonaceous wastes are, for example, media used for artificial culture of mushrooms, for which the used media (the waste media of the mushrooms) are usable.</p> |
