PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hygroscopic fiber which has high hygroscopicity and keeps physical characteristics, e.g. fiber strength, at high levels.SOLUTION: A hygroscopic fiber is composed of a thermoplastic resin blended with 1-20 wt.% of an organic hygroscopic fine particle, and the difference between the hygroscopicity under the condition of 20°C×40%RH and the hygroscopicity under the condition of 30°C×90%RH is 4.0% or greater. The thermoplastic resin is preferably a polyamide or a polyester, and the organic hygroscopic fine particle is preferably an acrylate cross-linked body. |
