PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for forming an aerosol from a solution containing a component having either or both of Newtonian characteristics and non-Newtonian characteristics.SOLUTION: A liquid is drawn into a space (nip 104) partitioned by a pair of rollers 100, 102 each rotating in an opposite direction, and extended between the two rollers to form a liquid filament 110. With rotation of the rollers 100, 102, the liquid filament 110 becomes a further extended filament 112, which is torn off at an unstable point to form a flock of minute drops 114, while the remainder 116 of the liquid filament sticking to surfaces of the rollers 100, 102 is returned to an upstream part 106 of the nip 104. The above process is repeated to form an aerosol continuously. |
