PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug which can suppress that strong stress is applied to a heater at manufacturing, and hardly causes the oscillation of a tip part of an electrical conduction middle shaft at a use, and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A glow plug comprises a housing 3, an electrical conduction middle shaft 4, a heater 6 and a spiral lead wire 2. The spiral lead wire 2 is formed by spirally winding a single lead. A heater electrode 62 and a middle shaft tip part 40 formed at a tip of the electrical conduction meddle shaft 4 are electrically connected to each other by the spiral lead wire 2. The spiral lead wire 2 has a deformable part 22 and a hardened part 21. The deformable part 22 is formed so as to be elastically deformable, and connected to the middle shaft tip part 40. The hardened part 21 is formed at a tip side in a Z-direction rather than the deformable part 22, and hardened by being brazed. The middle tip part 40 penetrates the deformable part 22, and held to the hardened part 21 by being internally fit thereto. |
