PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining mechanism capable of inhibiting enlargement in the radial direction.SOLUTION: A reclining mechanism 1 includes: a base plate 10; an internal gear 60 capable of rotationally turning with respect to the base plate 10; a lock gear 20 capable of displacing between a lock attitude engaged with the internal gear 60 and a release attitude removed from the internal gear 60; and a slide cam 30 displaceably supported by the base plate 10 and pressing the lock gear 20 to make the lock gear 20 the lock attitude or release attitude. The base plate 10 includes a base part 11, and a journal part 14 provided on the base part 11 and rotationally supporting the lock gear 20. The lock gear 20 includes a journal object part 22A to be engaged with the journal part 14. The journal part 14 and the journal object part 22A are disposed inside a profile of the lock gear 20 when viewing from the rotational axis direction of the internal gear 60. |
