<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer which suitably actualizes a timer function with low power consumption. SOLUTION: This microcomputer 1 equipped with a CPU 3, an oscillation circuit 9 generating a main clock for placing the CPU 3 in operation, and an intermittent operation control part 15 and an oscillation control part 11 which perform control for placing the CPU 3 and oscillation circuit 9 is intermittent operation by receiving subblocks of low frequency is provided with a timer block 17 which operates by receiving the subclock and automatically measures the actual intermittent time wherein the CPU 3 is stopping. When this microcomputer 1 measures the time, the CPU 3 operates intermittently and each time the CPU is actuated in the stop state, the intermittence time Ta up to the current actuation is read out of the timer block 17, the operation time Tb of the CPU 3 from the current actuation is measured by itself through software processing, and the accumulated addition values of the Ta and Tb so far are found, so that measurements can be taken in an extremely short time withi very small power consumption.</p> |
