PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid electric vehicle ensuring reduction in exhaust emissions at a time of external feeding.SOLUTION: A hybrid electric vehicle control unit determines whether an engine is warmed up insufficiently (S1) in an external feeding mode; determines whether it is the beginning of starting feeding (S2) if the engine is warmed up not insufficiently; controls only electric power stored in a power storage device to be supplied to outside in a state of turning off the engine (S3) if determining that it is the beginning of starting feeding; turns on the engine and controls only electric power generated by a motor to be supplied to the outside (S4) if it is not the beginning of starting feeding; and controls one of or each of the electric power generated by the motor and the electric power stored in the power storage device to be supplied to the outside if the engine is sufficiently warmed up (S5). It is, therefore, possible to reduce exhaust emissions. |
