PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor reducing an insertion load at the time of externally fitting a cylindrical outside terminal to a cylindrical gas sensor element and improving productivity and product yield.SOLUTION: A gas sensor 100 includes: an outer terminal 91 having a gas sensor element 3 including a bottomed element main body 3S and an outer electrode 3C, and a cylindrical part 93 being a cylindrical part electrically connected to the outer electrode protruding radially by an elastic force at the time of externally fitting itself to a rear end of the gas sensor element, and a plurality of guide pieces 98 extending toward a tip end side, while protruding radially outside from a tip end edge. The rear end part of the gas sensor element is formed with a straight part 3t narrowed in a tapered shape and a curved part 3e connected to the rear end side of the straight part with the outer surface of the element main body narrowed toward the rear end side narrower than the straight part and curved toward the radially inner side. |
