PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode or an electrolyte for a lithium ion battery that is excellent in charge/discharge cycles.SOLUTION: An additive agent (B) for a battery contains a compound (A) having an urethane bond (a) and a fluorinated hydrocarbon group (b) in which at least one hydrogen atom of a hydrocarbon group is substituted with a fluorine atom and having no polymerizable unsaturated bonds. The fluorinated hydrocarbon group (b) is preferably a 2-20C fluorinated alkyl group or a 2-20C fluorinated alkylene group, and a fluorine atom bonded to a carbon atom of the fluorinated hydrocarbon group (b) is preferably 20 mol% or more with respect to the total mole number of a hydrogen atom and a fluorine atom in the (b).
