PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipoint detection fiber sensor capable of narrowing the diameter and achieving highly accurate curved-shape detection, and insertion device including the multipoint detection fiber sensor.SOLUTION: A multipoint detection fiber sensor 1 includes, at a plurality of positions, detection object parts capable of detecting different curvatures respectively. The multipoint detection fiber sensor has a whole effective detection area A1 as an area that the multipoint detection fiber sensor detects the curvatures, and a plurality of optical fibers 11, 21, and 31 are disposed at the whole effective detection area. The optical fibers include: a plurality of detection object parts 15, 25, and 35; light sources projecting light onto the optical fibers; and light receiving parts 13, 23, and 33 receiving the light exited through the optical fibers. Further, according to one embodiment, the insertion device includes such a multipoint detection fiber sensor. |
