PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a glass substrate including a manufacturing step of a glass substrate that is free of a warp even when made thin and has a thermal shrinkage coefficient small enough to be applied to a high-definition FPD.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a glass substrate 11 includes a laminate making step for making a laminate 10 by preparing a glass substrate 11 having a larger dimension than a required dimension and putting it on a setter 12, a heat treatment step for subjecting the laminate 10 to heat treatment by loading the laminate 10 in a heat treatment furnace 20, a measurement step for measuring a warpage of the glass substrate 11 after the heat treatment with measuring means 30, and a cutting step for cutting and removing peripheral parts 11a of the glass substrate 11 after the measurement with cutting means 40 to obtain the glass substrate 11 having the required dimension. The glass substrate 11 is manufactured by finally separating it from the setter 12. |
