PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant silicone gel composition which is capable of hardening at room temperature and one-liquid liquefaction and provides a rubber- or gel-like hardened product having transparency and exerting excellent flame retardancy and a semiconductor device sealed with the hardened product.SOLUTION: A silicone gel composition contains a reaction product obtaining by mixing an addition reaction curable composition uniformly with a compound selected from benzotriazole, benzotriimidazole, methylbenzotriazole, indoline, 1,2,3-triazole, 1,2,4-triazole, imidazole, indazole, benzoxazole, 2-hydroxybenzoxazole, 5-benzyloxyindole, 1,2-benzisoxazole, 2,1-benzisoxazole and 1,3-benzodioxazole, (a) an organopolysiloxane of a viscosity of 10-10,000 mPa s and (b) iron carboxylate and heat-treating at 120-300°C, and the content of iron is 1-100 ppm. |
