PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable control according to an ambient environment even when a sensor for measuring an ambient temperature and humidity is removed from an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: an image forming part 12 that performs an image formation operation to form a toner image on a sheet fed thereto; a fixing part 13 that applies heat and pressure to a sheet on which the toner image is formed by the image forming part 12 to fix the toner image to the sheet; a network interface part 91 that performs transmission and reception of data to/from an external device 20 via a network to acquire temperature information and/or humidity information from the external device 20; and a control part 100 that controls the image forming part 12 and the fixing part 13 on the basis of the temperature information and/or the humidity information acquired from the external device 20. |
