PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a firmware storage area in a management system of firmware to be distributed to equipment on a network.SOLUTION: In a case of newly registering a firmware group while associating the firmware group with a device product code, a distribution server 133 determines whether to store firmware included in the firmware group in a file storage 135. In this case, any of firmware included in an already registered firmware group associated with a device product code matching the product code of the new firmware group is the same as the firmware included in the new firmware group, then it is determined that the firmware is not to be stored in the file storage 135. The firmware determined not to be stored is managed so as to share the firmware already stored in the file storage 135. |
