CHAIN WITH TOOL RETAINING GRIPPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely handle a tool between a chain with a tool retaining gripper and various types of machining devices by improving the positional precision of the gripper and a key with the reference of a guide rail and a guide roller. SOLUTION: This chain 10 with the tool retaining gripper comprises a carrier chain 12, a first arm 14, and a second arm 16. The first arm 14 comprises a gripper part 20 and a traction part 22 formed into an L shape. The second arm 16 is screwed or riveted to the upper surface of the gripper part 20 and approximately horizontally extends in the direction of a counter-gripper part. The traction part 22 is provided with a support roller 26 in the lower end. Load acting on the gripper part 20 acts on the support roller via the traction part 22. A driving force of the carrier chain 12 acts on the gripper part 20 via the traction part 22. The first arm 14 receiving the load and the driving force is constituted of an L-shaped rigid member so as to improve a stop position precision.
