摘要 A flat nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to an aspect of the present invention having good charge/discharge cycles can be achieved even if the charge voltage of a positive electrode is high. A flat nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to an aspect of the present invention includes a positive electrode plate in which a positive electrode mix layer containing a positive electrode active material capable of reversibly storing and releasing lithium is formed, a negative electrode plate, an electrode assembly having a structure in which the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are stacked with a separator therebetween, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. A compound of at least one metal selected from Al, Mg, Ti, Zr, W, and rare-earth elements is attached to the surface of the positive electrode active material. A pressure is applied to the flat nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery from outside.
