FLUOPHOR AND LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluophor capable of efficiently absorbing a short-wavelength visible light such as violet light or blue light in a wide range wavelength range and emitting bright-line green or red luminescent component, and a light-emitting device using the same.SOLUTION: The fluophor has a matrix compound and a luminescence center contained in the matrix compound and the matrix compound has a hexagonal crystal BaNdAlO-type structure. The luminescence center preferably contains at least one kind of ion selected from the group consisting of Ce, Tband Eu.
