Disclosed is a system for preventing the theft of a construction machine, comprising: a digital radio terminal mounted on the main body of a construction machine to receive the position information of the main body of the construction machine from a GPS receiver mounted on the main body of the construction machine and transmit the position information via a digital radio communication method; a digital radio gateway for directly or indirectly receiving the position information of the main body of the construction machine via a digital radio communication method from the digital radio terminal mounted on the main body of the construction machine, converting the position information into Ethernet signals and transmitting the Ethernet signals via an internet network or a private wired network; a management server for receiving the position information transmitted from the digital radio gateway, determining whether or not the position of the main body of the construction machine is out of a predetermined position region or is in a prohibited region, determining that the main body of the construction machine has been stolen in the case, and notifying a user terminal of theft warning; and a user terminal for receiving the theft warning from the management server. The system for preventing the theft of a construction machine according to the present invention can significantly reduce costs required for data communication between the construction machine and the management server and is economical as information on the construction machine is transmitted to the management server via a digital radio communication network.
