PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus having a function of detecting a capacity of a rewritable nonvolatile memory used in an I2C bus system and the like.SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus includes a control section accessing a memory mounted in the apparatus. The control section includes: determining, after data in a lower check address 410 of the memory is determined to be a first value, whether data in an upper check address 412 is the first value; determining that the memory has a capacity equal to a prescribed value or more if the data is not the first value; determining, after a second value is written in the upper check address 412, whether the data in the lower check address 410 is the second value, if the data is the first value; determining that write into the upper check address 412 rewrites data in an address 400 and the memory has a capacity less than a prescribed value, if the data is the second value. This achieves detection of the capacity of a memory to be mounted. |
