PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve device capable of effectively using a C-shaped detent member composed of a linear spring material.SOLUTION: A valve device has a valve housing, a valve element displacing along a straight path between first and second positions, and a C-shaped detent member 56. A central portion 56a of the detent member is positioned at an intermediate part to two positions in a direction of the straight path of a connecting part (connecting hole 60a) of the detent member and the valve element when the valve element is displaced between the first and second positions. When the valve element is displaced between the first and second positions, the detent member is pivotally moved on a central portion, deformed in maximum at the intermediate position between the first and second positions to be placed at the first position or the second position over the intermediate position. Spring portions extended from both ends in the central portion, of the detent member respectively have at least one loop part curved by 360 degrees and extended. |
