PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum sound dampening modification device that enables easy and quick replacement or substitution of sound dampening materials without the need to remove a drumhead.SOLUTION: A dampening modification device comprises an annular support member 20 and a sound absorbing ring 22. The annular support member 20 and the sound absorbing ring 22 are attached onto a drumhead 16 such that the sound absorbing ring 22 is held to be freely floatable in place. The sound absorbing ring 22 is placed on a playing surface 30. |
