The present invention relates to a chain (10) for acquiring at least one physical quantity for a critical on-board avionics system, comprising: a sensor (12) making it possible to measure the physical quantity; an acquisition channel (14) receiving an analog signal corresponding to the physical quantity measured by the sensor (12) and transforming said analog signal into a corresponding digital signal, at least some of said transformations being capable of being made with losses of accuracy; self-testing means (20) making it possible to verify the integrity of the acquisition channel (14) and to generate a self-test result. The chain also comprises means (20) for analysing the self-test result in order to determine an operating mode of the acquisition channel (10) and to activate the operation of means (22) for correcting the signal output by the channel (14).
