A connector comprises: a plurality of contacts each having a contact portion provided on one end side and making contact with the other side connector, a lead portion provided on the other end side and making contact with a substrate, and an elastically deforming spring portion provided between said contact portion and said lead portion; a floating housing fixed to said contact portions of said contacts arranged into two rows of contacts and fitting into said the other side connector; a first fixing housing provided between said two rows of contacts and fixed to said substrate; and a second fixing housing fixed to said first fixing housing and holding portions adjacent to said lead portions of said contacts between said first fixing housing and said second fixing housing.
