The present invention relates to an impact-absorbing member for protecting a liquid crystal panel, and to a method for manufacturing the same. The impact-absorbing member is manufactured by basically dividing a base material into blanking regions, and blanking the basic material. The blanking region includes band-shaped bodies having a predetermined length, and bending grooves formed from one side of the body to the inner side of the body. In addition, a pair of latching parts locked with each other are provided at both ends of the body. The method for manufacturing an impact-absorbing member according to the present invention performs the blanking process by dividing a base material into multiple band-shaped blanking regions, thereby minimizing loss of a raw material. The impact-absorbing member can be easily bent into a desired form by forming the bending grooves on the band-shaped body, and effectively block infiltration of external dust by using the latching parts formed at an end of the body. |
