The present invention relates to a tip dressing apparatus for an electric resistance machine and, more specifically, relates to the tip dressing apparatus for the electric resistance welding machine which prevents a fault of a welded product due to dressing error by testing the dressing apparatus in case of separating a bite holder by sensing a separation of the bite installed in the bite holder of the dressing apparatus. According to the present invention, the tip dressing apparatus for the electric resistance welding machine comprises: the bite holder where the bite is installed; a driving part to rotate the bite holder; and a control part which controls the driving part for the bite to cut a front end of a welding tip by rotation of the bite holder if the welding tip of the electric resistance welding machine approaches the bite of the bite holder. The bite holder has a semi-spherical cutting groove corresponding to a front end shape of the welding tip on a center, and has an installation part for the bite to be installed in a part where one side is cut. The bite is located on the installation part, and comprises a bite fixing part combined to the bite holder by a combining bolt in order to pressurize an outer circumference of the bite such that the bite is located on the installation part and adheres to the installation part. According to the bite fixture, a sensing part protruded to the outside of the bite holder is formed, comprising a sensing sensor to sense a sensing part of the bite fixture. The control part rotates the bite holder in case there is the sensing part by receiving a signal to sense the sensing part by the sensing sensor, and generates an abnormal signal if there is no sensing part. |
