<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of preventing wet cracks in a gas sensor element and reduction in responsiveness. <P>SOLUTION: This gas sensor 1 has the gas sensor element 2, a housing 3, and an element cover 4. An outer cover 42 has an outer opening part 421. An inner cover 41 has an inner opening part 411, at a position closer to the base end side than the outer opening part 421. The inner opening part 411 is formed, in a state where the opening direction has a component of the axial and base end direction of the gas sensor 1. A clearance 43 is provided with two or more partitioning section 431 for partitioning the clearance 43 along the axial direction. Either the inner opening part 411 or the outer opening part 421 is arranged in a divided space 430. The divided space 430, having the inner opening part 411, communicates with the divided space 430 having the outer opening part 421 through a communication section 432 formed on the base end side of the partitioning section 431 that partitions them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
