<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic steel member which attains excellent a.c. magnetic properties and low magnetostriction equal to those of an electromagnetic stainless steel, after magnetic annealing. <P>SOLUTION: The soft magnetic steel member has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.002 to 0.050% C, 1.5 to 2.8% Si, 0.2 to 0.8% Mn, ≤0.02% (excluding 0%) P, 0.02 to 0.1% S, ≤0.1% (excluding 0%) Cu, ≤1.0% (excluding 0%) Ni, ≤1.0% (excluding 0%) Cr, 0.05 to 1.0% Al, ≤0.0040% (excluding 0%) N and ≤0.0200% (excluding 0%) O, and satisfying 5≤Mn/S≤50 and Si+Mn+Cr≤4.0, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and in which the ratio of a ferritic phase occupied in the metallic structure is ≥95%, and also, the maximum grain size (the average value between the major axis and the minor axis) of carbides and MnS in the ferrite is ≤20 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
