A root bushing (9) for a blade root (8) of a wind turbine rotor blade (5), wherein the root bushing (9) comprises a bushing body (14) and a connecting body (15) for connecting the wind turbine rotor blade (5) to a hub (6) of a wind turbine (1) and wherein the connecting body (15) is releasably connected to the bushing body (14). This has the advantage that when the connecting body is damaged or worn out it can be replaced without replacing the whole root bushing.
