PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast transmitter and a digital broadcast receiver, which can transmit/receive additional information without deteriorating quality of high-hierarchical contents.SOLUTION: A digital broadcast transmitter comprises: a high-hierarchical encoder 110 for encoding video data and voice data as a content to be broadcasted in quality of a high resolution; a low-hierarchical encoder 130 for encoding the video data and voice data as the content to be broadcasted in quality of a low resolution; and an embedding section 140 for using the content encoded by the low-hierarchical encoder 130 and a TMCC signal as input to embed the content in an extended field of the TMCC signal. |
