The present invention relates to a total internal reflection-type rain sensor using a mirror, which is attached to a window of a vehicle to sense raindrops falling onto the window and outputs a signal to control a speed and a cycle of the windshield wiper according to an amount and falling period of the sensed raindrops. More specifically, the total internal refection-type rain sensor using a mirror, according to the present invention, includes: a light emitting unit; a bonding unit; a light receiving unit; and a control unit, Wherein: the light receiving unit receives light, which is emitted to come into a window of a vehicle by the light emitting unit and totally reflected by the window, and outputs an amount of the received light; the control unit communicates with the vehicle, stores a threshold to operate a windshield wiper of the vehicle, receives the signal of the light receiving unit to analyze an amount of raindrops corresponding to the amount of the received light, and operates the windshield wiper if the amount of the raindrops exceeds the threshold. |
